Hi, I’m Leah — Carmel’s portrait photographer for over 25 years. I started photographing babies because I couldn’t stop taking pictures of my own, and that love turned into a career I am still deeply grateful for every single day. In 25 years I have photographed newborns who are now graduating, watched families grow from two to five, and earned the kind of trust that only comes from showing up for people at the moments that matter most — in Carmel, Indianapolis, Westfield, and across central Indiana.
I photograph newborns, maternity, cake smashes, family portraits, high school seniors, and boudoir. Everything except weddings and events. Whether you are expecting your first baby, watching your senior walk across a stage, or simply overdue for a family portrait that actually looks like your family — I would love to be your photographer. Meet Carmel Photographer Leah Severson
Hello and welcome! I’m glad you’re here! My photography clients are like family to me, so I feel like it’s only fair to get a little personal with you.
I married Todd, an Iowa boy, more than 30 years ago, and after all these years he’s still the person whose company I most enjoy. We have two daughters, Emma & Lindsay, who are grown and graduated and my most successful endeavor so far. Lindsay is a human resources specialist who lives in Michigan, and Emma is an industrial engineer enjoying the mountains in Colorado.
