Celebrating Journee’s Newborn Photoshoot | Carmel
Sweet baby Journee came to my portrait studio near Carmel, Indiana for her newborn photoshoot, and she was just perfect. She has the most beautiful big brown eyes and lots of thick, dark hair. She was wide awake and very curious when we started her session. It was like she wanted to take everything in. Then, after a little while, she got sleepy and drifted off, which gave us the chance to capture both awake and sleeping photos. That’s always a treat!
We started with some naked photos of baby Journee on a tiny white bed. I surrounded her with dainty pink flowers to add a soft and sweet touch to her newborn portraits. Then we added a soft blush-colored blanket and a matching floral crown for a classic, dreamy look. She looked like a little princess!
Next, Journee wore the cutest turquoise floral boho romper with fringe trim. We placed her on a bed of pink fur, and she looked absolutely adorable. The colors really made her dark hair and big eyes stand out.
Then it was time for the wrapped shots. First up was a beige wrap with a sweet little matching bonnet. She looked so cozy and content. After that, we swaddled her in a mint green wrap and posed her in a vintage wire egg basket. That setup gave us such a pretty mix of textures and color. To finish the session, we wrapped her in deep purple and placed her in a wicker basket. The rich color gave a beautiful contrast to her soft features.
