Sweet Smiles from Newborn Baby Ellis’s Photoshoot | Westfield, IN
I had the pleasure of welcoming sweet newborn baby Ellis and his family into my portrait studio recently.. His parents, avid University of Kentucky fans, chose to schedule a mini-portrait session that focused entirely on their precious bundle of joy. With a keen eye for creativity and a touch of personalization, we set out to create a collection of timeless photographs that showcased little Ellis’s early days.
I kicked off the session by celebrating the family’s unwavering love for the University of Kentucky. Baby Ellis was dressed in a UK onesie, and I couldn’t resist capturing the moment as he held a tiny basketball in his hands. The combination of the passionate fan spirit and the innocence of a newborn made for heartwarming and charming photographs that the family will cherish for years to come.
For the next set of images, I swaddled Ellis in a soft baby blue wrap and posed him on a plush gray fur background. The soothing color palette and the contrast with Ellis’s delicate features created a serene atmosphere. These photos exude a sense of calm and tenderness, perfectly capturing the purity of these early days.
As the session continued, I wrapped Ellis in a cozy burnt orange wrap and placed him in a tiny wooden baby bed specially designed for newborn photography. This rustic and warm setup beautifully accentuated the contrast of the baby’s innocence against the natural textures. The result was a series of photographs that captured the essence of comfort and love, illustrating the snug feeling of a newborn in a safe space.
To add a touch of rustic charm, I decided to change things up by swapping the burnt orange wrap for a dark green one. Placing Ellis in a vintage wire basket, I created a visual story that blended nostalgia and new beginnings. These photos showcase the baby’s tiny features amidst a timeless setting, reminding us of the precious nature of life’s early chapters.
Baby Ellis’s newborn portrait session was a beautiful journey through the first moments of his life. From the spirited start with his UK onesie and tiny basketball to the serene moments on gray fur and the cozy warmth of the burnt orange wrap, and finally the rustic charm of the vintage wire basket, I captured the essence of this precious time. The session was a testament to the art of newborn photography, where every detail and nuance tells a story of love, tenderness, and family bonds. I am honored to have been a part of Ellis’s early memories and to create images that his parents will treasure for a lifetime. I look forward to watching him grow and hope to capture many more beautiful moments in the years to come.
