Kelson’s Cake Smash Photoshoot | Carmel, Indiana

Happy birthday Kelson! I recently had the pleasure of photographing this sweet little baby’s first birthday photoshoot, complete with cake smash. He was the smiliest dude, just happy as a clam! And he devoured his smash cake his mom made him for the photoshoot. Love it when they do that!

I asked Kelson’s mom to tell me a bit about him.

“Kelson isn’t quite walking yet, but he’s incredibly mobile nonetheless! His favorite toys are pots, pans, and whatever else he can find in the kitchen cabinets. He also prefers his older siblings’ toys to his own!

He loves being in the water or playing with water, and is always happy when he’s outdoors. He’s very vocal, loves to laugh at his big siblings, and squeals in delight when lifted up to slam dunk a basketball.

He is curious, bright, shows no fear, and already acting strong-willed

I learned recently that “kelson” is actually a word in the dictionary, and it refers to a beam or structure running through the ship to stiffen and strengthen its framework. Our Kelson is definitely living into that! He’s the perfect addition to our family, and has definitely helped to strengthen our framework.”
