Esmeralda | Westfield Newborn Photographer
Meet baby Esmeralda! This beautiful girl came to the studio when she was just a few weeks old for her newborn photoshoot. I chatted with her mom recently about her early days of parenting.
How did you come up with your baby’s name?
I always really liked Disney movies, so I figured, especially because it was Spanish for emeralds, that it would work for us because I’m Mexican.
Anything about parenting a newborn baby that surprises you?
How fast they grow and how smart they are. She’s already trying to stand and mock walk.
What’s your favorite thing about being a new mom?
Watching her grow and learn new things. She always looks like she’s full of wonder and everything’s new and exciting. And it’s just awesome to see her smile.
What’s the hardest thing about being a new mom?
I’m trying to get on a schedule. Because right now there isn’t one
What is the most useful baby product you have?
We got this bassinet from a pack and play. We use that for lounging a lot. And tummy time mats. She’s really into tummy time.
If you could tell an expectant mom anything, what would you tell her?
The first three weeks are the hardest, but don’t get discouraged. They’re learning just like you are. So just go with the flow. And if you have a partner, when you get overwhelmed, take a breath and collect yourself.
You can help baby Esmeralda’s parents win a wall portrait from her newborn photoshoot. Just scroll down and leave a kind and encouraging comment for these new parents. Thanks!
