Westfield, Indiana is a city in the western part of the state. The city is home to about 30,000 people and is growing rapidly. Westfield was founded in 1834 by Quaker settlers. The town was originally called West Union but was later renamed Westfield after a nearby stream. Westfield was founded by settlers who were looking for a place to practice their religion freely. The town quickly became a thriving community and was soon incorporated as a city.
Westfield is home to many historic buildings and sites, including the Westfield Washington Historic District which is listed on the National Register of Historic Places.
