When is the best time to take maternity photos?

The best time to take maternity photos is typically between 30 and 36 weeks of pregnancy. During this period, your baby bump is beautifully round and well-defined. Some expectant mothers also consider scheduling during the second trimester if they prefer a smaller bump.

Scheduling your maternity photoshoot sooner rather than later also reduces the risk that you’ll miss the session because of unexpected emergencies, like bed rest or an early delivery. Booking early ensures you secure your preferred date.

What should I wear for maternity photos?

There are so many options for maternity outfits for your photoshoot. When you call to schedule your session, we’ll discuss all the options and I can guide you to the styles and looks that will work best for you.

Where should I have my maternity photos taken?

That’s a great question! Weather-permitting, you can choose to have your maternity portraits taken outdoors.

Otherwise, you can enjoy the warmth of natural beauty of my vintage portrait studio for your pregnancy portraits. I also offer in-home sessions for a more personal, comfortable experience.

How will I view the picture from my pregnancy photoshoot?

A few weeks after your portrait session, you’ll receive an online gallery of beautiful maternity portraits. You’ll select your favorite pictures from this gallery.

Do you do full-nude maternity portraits?

Yes. Tasteful, full-nude maternity sessions are available at my studio.

Can I wear more than one outfit for my maternity photoshoot?

Certainly! All my pregnancy photoshoots allow for at least one change of clothing. Whether you’re interested in a family session or solo portraits, multiple outfit changes help create variety in your images.

I don’t want my maternity portraits on the internet. Is that ok?

Absolutely! I won’t share your maternity portraits anywhere online unless you give your permission.

Can I include my partner or children in maternity photos?

Absolutely! Your partner and children are such a big part of your pregnancy journey, and it’s great to include them in some of your maternity pictures.

However, I always encourage expectant moms to have at least a few pictures of them alone.
