Delia’s Newborn Portraits
Two proud big brothers walked into my Carmel, Indiana newborn photography studio and immediately made it clear that this baby sister of theirs was already the most important person in their world. Furthermore, watching older siblings with a brand new baby is one of my favorite things to witness behind the camera, and these two did not disappoint one bit.
We started her session with a purple floral hat and matching pants, posing her on a tiny white baby bed. The soft purple tones were absolutely perfect for her. From there I dressed her in a blue romper trimmed in lace and placed her on a vintage brown wooden baby bed surrounded by white flowers. The setup had a timeless, classic quality that I find myself coming back to again and again for baby girls.
For the family and sibling portraits we chose a blush wrap, which paired beautifully with the soft tones the family wore. Those images have a warmth and connectedness to them that I love. Delia was calm and content in everyone’s arms, and her brothers were so incredibly gentle with her. You could feel how much they already loved her.
We continued with a mint green wrap and matching headband, tucking her into a wicker basket for one of my favorite setups of the entire session. Additionally, we finished with a cream floral wrap set and matching headband on a bed of soft cream fur. Warm, simple, and completely beautiful.
Thank you to Delia’s family for bringing her in. Those big brothers are going to take such good care of her. She is a very lucky little girl.
