Meet Newborn Baby Journee
Big brown eyes, a head full of thick dark hair, and the kind of wide-awake curiosity that makes you want to just watch her take the whole world in. Journee’s newborn portrait session in Carmel, Indiana was one of those sessions where the baby basically runs the show — and honestly that is exactly how I like it.
We started with naked portraits on a tiny white bed surrounded by soft pink flowers, then added a blush blanket and a delicate floral crown for a classic, pretty setup. From there Journee wore the most adorable turquoise floral boho romper with fringe trim on a bed of pink fur. That color combination against her dark hair and big eyes was something else.
She eventually wound down and drifted off, which gave us the chance to move into wrapped poses. A beige wrap with a matching bonnet came first, followed by a mint green swaddle on a white textured surface. We finished with a deep purple wrap in a wicker basket surrounded by purple flowers — rich, beautiful, and a perfect contrast to her soft features.
Journee gave us everything in one session. Wide-eyed and curious at the start, peaceful and sleepy by the end. Her parents got the full range and every single setup delivered.
Thank you to Journee’s family for bringing her in. She is absolutely stunning and I had the best time with her.
