Baby Sofia came to my Carmel studio for her newborn photoshoot, and she was absolutely precious. She had beautiful dark hair and the sweetest little expressions. Her session was filled with love, soft colors, and cozy setups.
We started with family portraits. Sofia snuggled in her parents’ arms while wrapped in a soft beige swaddle. These moments are always special because they capture the deep love between parents and their newborn. I posed her with both mom and dad together, then took individual photos with each of them. These portraits are so meaningful and will be treasured forever.
After family portraits, it was time for some solo newborn shots. Sofia wore a delicate pink knit bonnet that framed her tiny face perfectly. I wrapped her in a pink swaddle to match, creating a soft and dreamy look. She looked so peaceful and cozy. I also used a pastel rainbow wrap, which added a soft blend of colors to her portraits. The gentle tones made these images feel warm and timeless.
Sofia was awake for part of her session, which allowed us to capture some bright-eyed portraits. She looked around the room with wide, curious eyes. Then, in a perfect moment, she gave what looked like a tiny smile. Capturing expressions like this is always a treat. Whether it was a true smile or just a reflex, it made for a beautiful photo her parents will always cherish.
I used some of my favorite newborn props to add variety to Sofia’s portraits. She looked adorable resting in a vintage wire egg basket, curled up on soft fur. I also posed her on a tiny wooden baby bed, which made her look even more delicate and small. These props help create timeless and artistic newborn images that families love.
As the session went on, Sofia drifted into a peaceful sleep. This allowed me to capture even more cozy, wrapped-up poses. Her dark hair stood out beautifully against the soft, neutral backgrounds. Every detail, from her tiny fingers to her sweet expressions, made these portraits special.
Sofia’s newborn session was filled with love, warmth, and precious moments. From the family portraits to the soft, swaddled setups, every image captured the beauty of these early days. It was a joy to photograph her and create lasting memories for her family. I cannot wait to see how she grows, but for now, I am so glad her parents have these photos to cherish forever.
