Baby Mark’s First Birthday + Family Photoshoot 

As a portrait photographer in Carmel, Indiana, I have the privilege of capturing special moments and milestones for families. Recently, I had the pleasure of photographing Ned and Nerina, along with their adorable one-year-old son, Mark, at the Palladium in Carmel for his first birthday photoshoot. This session was a wonderful opportunity to update their family portraits and celebrate a significant milestone in Baby Mark’s life. 

The family arrived in coordinated blue and white outfits, which looked stunning against the lush greens of nature and the cool, elegant white stone of the Palladium. The Palladium is one of my favorite locations for family photography in Carmel due to its beautiful architecture and scenic surroundings.

At the start of the photoshoot, Baby Mark was a bit apprehensive and clung tightly to his parents. This is quite common during photography sessions with young children, as they often need a little time to warm up to the camera and the photographer. However, with a bit of patience and gentle encouragement, Mark’s curiosity and adventurous spirit soon took over.

Once he felt comfortable, Baby Mark was on the move! He proudly showed off his new walking skills, exploring every corner and seemingly doing everything but sitting still for the camera. Capturing these moments of pure joy and energy was a delight. The candid shots of Mark on the go truly encapsulate the essence of a lively one-year-old discovering the world around him.

During the session, I managed to capture some beautiful family photos, as well as individual shots of Mark with each of his parents. The bond between Baby Mark and his dad was evident in their playful interactions, while the tender moments between Mark and his mom were heartwarming. These photos reflect the love and connection within this lovely family.

As a photographer, there’s nothing more rewarding than preserving these precious moments for families to cherish for years to come. This first birthday photoshoot at the Palladium in Carmel was filled with laughter, joy, and unforgettable memories. I am grateful to Ned and Nerina for allowing me to be a part of such a special occasion and to capture the beauty of their growing family.
